New sales, service, and spare-parts facility opens in Chattogram

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has announced a best- in-class extended warranty offering for all of its BS-IV compliant heavy-duty and medium duty trucks. At up to 8 years / 8 lakh kilometres, the warranty is of the longest duration offered in the entire CV industry. The scope of the extended warranty includes all powertrain aggregates such as engine, transmission, propeller shaft and drivehead. The extended warranty offerings can be availed across the lifecycle of standard warranty by the customers, with flexible pricing options available as per the application and age of vehicle. Customers can also benefit from risk coverage against unexpected breakdowns. The warranty package is supported across BharatBenz’s 200+ network touchpoints.
Nepal, Itahari– Daimler Trucks Regional Center Southern Asia and Omni Motors today inaugurated its new 3S state-of-the-art dealership facility for its commercial vehicle brand BharatBenz in Itahari, Eastern Nepal. The opening of this new dealership facility, which is owned and run by Omni Motors, is an illustration of BharatBenz’s trucks growing demand and acceptance in the market.

As the owner of the BharatBenz brand, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles prosecuted Pyken Industries for manufacturing and selling spare parts bearing the mark BHARATBENZ and operating an unauthorized domain under the BharatBenz brand name, thereby damaging the brand’s reputation.
Chennai– Daimler India Commercial Vehicles rolled out its first Bharat Stage VI (BS VI) heavy-duty powertrain from its manufacturing facility at Oragadam. Having already received certification for BS VI back in July 2019, DICV’s latest milestone comes just two and half years after the introduction of BS IV.
Chennai– Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) today showcased its readiness to transition to the new emission norms of Bharat Stage VI which will be effective from April 2020. Worldwide, Daimler has already sold over 1.4 million vehicles with EURO VI technology, an equivalent emissions standard. Additionally, DICV received certification for BS VI back in July 2019, proving they have successfully adapted their expertise with EURO VI to the Indian market.
Chennai– Daimler India Commercial Vehicles marked yet another milestone by producing 25000 vehicles determined for exports. The milestone vehicle, a Fuso FJ 1823R was shipped to Saudi Arabia. An integral part of Daimler’s global production network for trucks and buses, its Indian Oragadam plant is the only location worldwide which produces engines, transmissions, trucks and buses catering to four brands – BharatBenz, FUSO, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner.
