BharatBenz gets its whole range ready with Bharat Stage IV
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (DICV), a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, Stuttgart, Germany, today announced that its entire range of above 9 to 49 tonne trucks in current portfolio will now be available in Bharat Stage IV variant across the country. With its new range of buses set for market launch in September 2015, DICV is also offering the Bharat Stage IV variant for the school and staff applications in the front engine 9T bus product range.
DICV plant in Oragadam: Start of Production of BharatBenz and Mercedes-Benz buses
Today, the first BharatBenz bus has rolled off the production line at the Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) plant in Oragadam. The start of production marks the beginning of another chapter in DICVs success story as it becomes a full-fledged CV manufacturer in the Indian market. The buses are designed and manufactured keeping the evolving market needs and consumer expectations in mind to establish new standards in the Indian bus segment.

World premiere on US highway: Daimler Trucks drives first autonomous truck on public roads
oday Daimler Trucks became the world´s first manufacturer to be granted a road license for an autonomous heavy-duty truck. The first journey in the so-called Freightliner Inspiration Truck, which took place on US highway 15 in Las Vegas, was made by Brian Sandoval, Governor of Nevada, and Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard.
