Daimler India Commercial Vehicles crosses export milestone of 5,000 vehicles
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has reached another important milestone: less than three years after the start of exports in 2013, the mark of 5,000 units was crossed. Volumes have been steadily growing, as has the number of markets served which currently includes more than 20 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. More than 10 further markets will be added in the course of this year, Kuwait and Peru were launched recently.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles completes major expansion of solar power facilities
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, has taken solar power usage at its manufacturing plant in Oragadam near Chennai to the next level. With the completion of a major addition to the plant’s existing photovoltaic installations, the overall technical capacity has increased from 0.8 to 3.3 Megawatts.
